Details

We stayed for four nights at the Brigham City / Perry South KOA Journey in late June of 2017. We originally booked three nights, but extended our stay due to a delay in truck repairs. The campground staff was quite helpful with accommodating our request for an extra night. This is a very nice, clean, quiet, and well-maintained KOA.

Cost

We generally find that KOAs are pricey for our tastes, but we are willing to pay for the convenience for short stays or if there are not better alternatives. For four nights at a 50 amp full hookup pull-thru site, we paid about $46 per night, including tax and our KOA Value Kard Rewards Discount.

Site quality – 3/5

Sites are basic, including full or partial hookups with 50/30/20 amp electric, firebox/grill and a picnic table. Sites are level, surfaced with gravel, and have a nice grassy area. Sites are wide enough to accommodate slide-outs and awnings, but otherwise have little separation between sites. Most sites have shade trees.

The campground is in a rural area some distance from Perry and Brigham City, is nicely landscaped and borders on grassy fields with a lovely view of mountains to the east. The campground is nicely landscaped and has many shade trees. The setting is very scenic and feels quite peaceful.

Location/Isolation – 4/5

The campground is far enough away from Brigham City to feel rural and isolated. The campground is also far enough from busy interstate I-15 and highway US-89 to receive little road noise. A railroad runs about a half mile from the campground, so distant train horns and rail traffic are heard at times.

Additional info

Internet access

We received a moderate 4G Verizon signal at this campground. We did not need our cellular antenna and booster to improve MiFi hot spot internet access. The campground provided free WiFi, but we did not use this during our stay.

Water Quality

The water at this campground tested moderately hard – we added our water softener to the water filtration stack.
