Details

We stayed for fourteen-nights at the Bandon by the Sea RV Park in late June to mid July, 2019. This is a lovely and well-maintained park with friendly staff. Our stay coincided with Independence Day and, in celebration, the park hosted their annual barbecue and potluck for the campground guests. Fun!

Cost

For fourteen-nights at a 50 amp full hookup pull-thru site, we paid about $36 per night. There were no fees for pets or an extra vehicle. The park has AAA, Good Sam, and Veteran discounts, as well as weekly/monthly/seasonal rates.

Ratings (1-5)

Accessibility – 4/5

The campground is just off highway US-101 and is easily accessible via paved roads. Most lanes in the park are well-maintained asphalt. The park has pull-thru and back-in RV sites and can accommodate large rigs. The campground facilities have some provisions for Universal access.

Facilities/Amenities – 4/5

The campground amenities include full hookup sites, cable TV, WiFi, restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms. The park features a club house with book exchange and DVD library. Facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Site quality – 5/5

Sites have full hookups with 50/30/20 amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, and a picnic table. The campground has both pull-thru and back-in sites. Sites surfaces vary – paved, partially paved, or gravel – with fair separation between sites. Many sites have shade trees. There are several grassy areas for tent or overflow RV sites.

Scenic Value – 4/5

The campground is nicely landscaped with many flower beds, flowering shrubs, coastal cyprus, pines, and ornamental trees. Charmingly whimsical touches are tucked into the landscaping, including a cute teakettle collection hung along ivy-trailing fences. The park is set in the semi-rural scenic outskirts of Bandon and just a short distance to scenic overlooks and beaches along the coast.

Location/Isolation – 4/5

The campground is well screened from nearby highway US-101 and feels peaceful and isolated. Sites are reasonably spacious and do not feel crowded. The campground is generally quiet, but some of the front-most sites receive considerable road noise from busy US-101. The campground is just a short drive to the beaches, historic downtown Bandon, and many area attractions.

Paws Friendliness – 4/5

The campground is pet friendly, with cleanup stations but no enclosed pet run. The campground is large enough for a fair walk with your pet.

Overall Rating – 5/5

Overall, the Bandon by the Sea RV Park is a lovely place to stay while while enjoying the many activities and sights of the area. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly visit another time.
