The West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA Holiday is a quiet, well-maintained, full-featured resort campground conveniently located just off Interstate I-80 on the western outskirts of Omaha. The park is a great place to stop while passing through the area or while visiting the many attractions around Omaha and Lincoln.

Details

We stayed for two-nights at the West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA Holiday in late August, 2019. The park staff were friendly at check-in and throughout our stay. For a treat we booked one of the deluxe patio sites and really enjoyed the swing-seat, comfy Adirondack-style chairs, and fire pit.

Cost

For two-nights at a 50 amp, full hookup, gravel, pull-thru, deluxe patio site, we paid $66.41 per night, including taxes and Value Kard Rewards Discount. There were no additional fees for pets or an extra vehicle.

Accessibility – 4/5

The campground is easily accessible from Interstate I-80 via paved roads. Lanes in the park are reasonably well-maintained gravel. The park has both pull-thru and back-in RV sites and can accommodate large rigs. The campground facilities have provisions for Universal access. Some of the park lanes feel narrow and cramped, depending on how guests have parked.

Facilities/Amenities – 5/5

The park amenities include full or partial hookup RV sites with 50/30 or 30/20 amp electric. Amenities also include tent sites, rental cabins, rental park models, restrooms, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, cable TV, propane service, camp store, snack bar, mini golf, pavilion, swimming pool, bike rentals, jump pillow, jump shot, mini zip line, ninja line, badminton, sand volleyball, mining sluice, firewood sales, pizza orders, and a pet run. In season the park has activities, such as hay rides, games, and tie dying. Facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Site quality – 4/5

RV sites are full or partial hookup with 50/30 or 30/20 amp electric, picnic table, fire box/fire pit, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. RV sites are gravel, clean, and most have shade trees. Tent sites have sand/gravel pads. Deluxe patio RV sites, rental cabins, and rental park models are available. Some of the RV sites on slopes are not level, though.

Scenic Value – 4/5

The campground is nicely landscaped and wooded – plenty of shade.

Location/Isolation – 4/5

The campground feels quiet and peaceful – far enough from the Interstate to receive little traffic noise. Site size varies, though, with some of the sites close enough together to feel crowded.

Paws Friendliness – 5/5

The campground is pet friendly, with cleanup stations, and an enclosed off-leash pet run. The campground is large enough for a fair walk with your pet.

Overall Rating – 5/5

Overall, the West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA Holiday is a lovely, quiet, convenient place to stay while passing through the area. We enjoyed our short stay and would visit another time.

We received a moderate 4G Verizon signal at this campground. The campground provided free WiFi.
