On to Dillon, Montana – Big Skies & a Ghost Town

From Arco , Idaho, (See post: Atomic Dreams in Arco, Idaho) we moved on to Dillon, Montana, for a five-night stay at the Countryside RV Park. Our route was now taking us through gorgeous, scenic lands – following winding river valleys, passing through rolling farmland with pastoral hay and wheat fields, and in the distance, vistas of sage and forest-covered foothills and snow speckled mountains, all under a dramatic summertime sky of scattered cumulus. It is easy to see why Montana is known as Big Sky Country.

The Blackwell Island RV Park is a lovely RV resort on the shores of scenic Lake Coeur d’Alene. This is a large, privately owned, nicely landscaped and well-maintained campground featuring swim and dog beaches, as well as a boat launch,  dock and moorings. This campground is a great place to relax and play while visiting Coeur d’Alene and exploring the area.

Jellystone Park is a fun, Yogi Bearâ„¢ themed, family oriented campground featuring many family friendly activities and amenities. The park is well-maintained, nicely landscaped, and has lovely views of rolling grassy hills and distant forested mountain foothills. This campground is a good place to stay while exploring around Missoula or just passing through the area.

The Countryside RV Park campground is large privately owned park set in lovely Montana Big Sky Country. The park is in a peaceful rural area with sweeping vistas of distant foothills and mountains. This campground is a great place to stay while exploring around Dillon, fishing the Beaverhead River and other local streams, visiting Bannack ghost town at Bannack State Park, or just passing through the area.
